Founder, author and splitboard tester
Patrick has snowboarded since 1987. As a qualified Austrian Alpine Club snowboard touring guide, he combines many years in the mountains with equipment tests in real terrain. He leads the editorial work, product research and development of Splitboarding.eu.

IKKA tests splitboards, bindings and boots on the ascent and descent. His observations on edge hold, agility, stability and practical use feed directly into our reviews and buying advice.
Former author and contributor
Martin was part of the editorial team in the early years and wrote many historical articles, tours and equipment tests. Those contributions remain credited to him although he is no longer active on the team.
Our articles are written by us. We use manufacturer information for verifiable specifications; assessments, comparisons and test results come from our own experience. When we have not tested a product ourselves, we say so clearly.
